"One of America’s best-kept secrets, the indie-rock singer-songwriter Bhi Bhiman is also reinventing a format, releasing his latest, politically inspired album in podcast form."
-The Times UK
"The episodes come together in a confluence of storytelling, humor, and in-depth conversations with some of the nation’s leading doers and thinkers."
-Bluegrass Situation
"Mr. Bhiman’s music has always had a socially conscious bent. But with the more overtly political “Peace of Mind” podcast, he is tapping a small but growing medium where listeners are primed for deep dives and thoughtful conversation beyond the music."
-The Wall Street Journal
"Bhi Bhiman doesn't shy away from difficult topics in his music. And with his new album, he's putting a twist on a familiar medium to encourage the discussions his subject matter deserves."
-Billboard Magazine

ABOUT
An acclaimed singer/songwriter & producer, Bhiman has toured the world and collaborated w/ creative powerhouses like Boots Riley, Chris Cornell, Rhiannon Giddens, comedian Keegan-Michael Key and author Dave Eggers. Not surprisingly, his music is a melting pot. But what truly sets Bhi apart is his voice, described by the Washington Post as "a keening, gender-neutral yawp that’s as earthy as it is ethereal, as puckish as it is wise."
In 2017 Bhi Bhiman finished what would become Peace of Mind. It was sort of a soundtrack to this crazy time in America. Musically, Bhi describes it as "Curtis Mayfield meets Pink Floyd" — a nod to the album's mix of socially conscious pop, soul and psych rock. This is also the first album that Bhi engineered, performed and produced everything on his own.
But Bhi didn't want to just release these songs into the album cycle ether. So his wife and creative partner had an idea...to release it as a podcast. But what does that mean?
Each song has a different theme (immigration, voter suppression, press freedom etc), and on the podcast, Bhi digs into these issues w/ experts, activists and artists - typically 2-3 guests per episode. The stems of the songs serve as the soundtrack, revealing bits and pieces as the episode progresses. At the end, Bhi shares the full song and the story behind it.
By pushing the concepts and philosophy of the music into the foreground it creates something totally unique and compelling — appealing to fans across music, podcasts, and politics.
